Avoid The IM Market: Dan Kennedy Information Marketing Secret

By Neeraj Varma

Within three years of starting to market Clickbank affiliate products, Dylan Loh has a six-figure per month income. One of the keys to his success is to not focus on selling Internet marketing products.

Dylan was interviewed by Rob Toth as part of Dan Kennedy's Info Riches course. Top information marketers were interviewed for a series called "Future Of Information Marketing".

Dylan strongly believes that marketing Internet marketing products will become more and more competitive. It's really becoming crowded as people discover that it is possible to make a good income from the Internet.

Dylan says that "the pie is definitely big enough" so more people can enter the market and be profitable. But, he says, "with three or four launches in the same week and sometimes in the same day it's increasingly competitive".

"It's relatively easier in non-Internet-marketing niches", says Dylan. If you look real hard in Clickbank you will find lots and lots of good niche products to promote. Dylan says "my philosophy is that I always get them (new clients) to start off in the other niches then it's easier to enter and get the feel of it". After they have achieved some success they can go back to the Internet marketing niche if they want.

When people think of doing business on the Internet they start looking for information on the subject. They get on some lists and all they ever see is Internet marketing products being promoted. This is because they are being targeted for that niche. They are being sold Internet marketing products over and over again because they aer interested in that field.

But that's where a lot of people get stuck. They might venture out in some other niche for a short time, but they are being pulled back into the Internet marketing niche because that's what they are consuming. "There are so many other niches that no one is paying attention to", says Dylan.

The most important thing to do is to focus on one niche THEN move to another one. Whether you see success or not, you'll gain valuable experiences. Start off in a non-Internet-marketing niche. Learn how things work. After you have seen some profits you can always go back to the Internet marketing niche and try your hand there.

Take action and focus. That's the key. "Don't over-analyze the situation." You'll be better off if you get a little understanding and just take action. You should take small steps until you know what to do. Then you can spend more time and money on things that have proven to work. Drop what doesn't work. If you want to learn you have to get started first. "Don't spend so much time trying to think of all the possible ways to be perfect", says Dylan. - 16459
